On March 24, 2016 RRCD CEO Andrey Savichev took part in the XXIII Congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs with participation of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, held within the framework of Russian Business Week 2016. The Congress was also attended by RSPP President Alexander Shokhin, the Governor of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina, members of the Russian government, heads of leading Russian companies, heads of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, heads of key development institutions, representatives of the foreign business community.

The issues of tax and financial systems, investment climate, elimination of administrative barriers, labour market and social investment were discussed during the Congress. Vladimir Putin confirmed the readiness of the authorities to minimize redundant inspections, and noted that Russian business has become more responsible and mature, more and more companies fulfill their obligations to society and the state. The President also touched upon the amendments in the domestic legislation of economic crimes and emphasized that the government views business as a partner in the creation of competitive economy.

Andrey Savichev also took part in the meeting of the working group on elimination of difficulties in the work of regional agencies to attract investment in the economic development of Russia. Participants of the meeting discussed the issues of the place and status of regional development institutions in the system of authorities, ways and means of cooperation between regional development institutions and infrastructure monopolises and problems of interaction between regional development institutions and Federal institutions of development (VEB, RVC, RDIF, IDF, EXIAR, SMP Corporation, etc.).
