On January 24, 2017 a working meeting of the Ryazan region authorities with a delegation of the company Charoen Pokphand Foods Russia took place under the chairmanship of the Governor Oleg Kovalev. The issues of implementation of a project of a pig-breeding complex on the territory of the region were discussed during the meeting, — states the website of the Government of the Ryazan region.

The meeting was also attended by first Deputy Chairman of the Ryazan region Government Sergey Samokhin, Deputy Chairman of the regional Government Sergei Dudukin, President of the CP Foods group in Russia Srina Buri, President of the Norwegian company OOO «UK RBPI group» Thomas Norgaard, heads of regional ministries and departments, including RRCD’s CEO Anatoly Vorobyov.

The parties discussed the construction of the pig-breeding complex on the territory of Skopinsky district with capacity of 180 thousand pigs per year. The project with an investment volume of 3.7 billion rubles provides for modern production with minimal impact on the environment. It is planned to open 160 new workplaces, tax revenues in regional and local budgets will amount to 57 million rubles a year. The full design capacity is expected to be achieved in the fourth quarter of 2020.

The issues of state support, infrastructure, and land resources were also discussed during the meeting.
